Top 10 Biggest Shopping Malls in Thailand

10. Mega Bangna

 

Mega Bangna is considered as a largest mall in the Southeast Asia. This mall is located at the midway between central Bangkok and Suvarnabhumi International Airport. It is the other IKEA branch. However, there are also core stores such as Home Pro, Big C, Robinson, along with other 450 shops. Besides, within this mall, the shoppers will find an ice rink, food court, bowling alley and a big major cineplex. It actual address is 38–39 Bangna-Trad Road, Bang Kaeo, Bang Phli, Samut Prakan, Bang Phli.

9. Central Festival Pattaya Beach

Flocks of tourists always visit this Central Festival Pattaya Beach mall when traveling to Pattaya. This mall covers 240,000m2. Similar to other modern malls in Bangkok, this mall is famous for its clothing stores, SFX cinema and food hall. The shoppers are welcome to stroll and purchase products from any stores in this mall. Constructed by using red bricks, Kad Suan Kaew is the oldest and biggest mall in Chiang Mai. It is at 21 Huay Kaew Rd, Suthep, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai. This mall spreads over 290,000 m2. Even though it is the oldest mall in Chiang Mai, it does have various restaurants, shops and electronic stalls. As a matter of fact, this mall consists of 4 floors. At the ground floor, the shopper can see food courts and phone shops. However, if the shoppers go to 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor, they will find more. For example, they will see many clothing shops, cosmetic shops, fitness shops and restaurants. On the 4th floor, the shopper will see a bowling alley and a cinema. Be noted that the cinema there only plays Thai films.

7. Future Park Rangsit

In 1995, Future Park Rangsit made it way to become one among the biggest mall in Thailand. As the matter of fact, it actually occupies 295,000 m2 It locates at 4 Phahonyothin Rd, Tambon Prachathipat, Thanyaburi District, Pathum Thani. This shopping mall contains restaurants, financial institutions and banks, department store, super market, gymnastic equipment, cinema and many more. According to the statistic from the mall, there are around 120,000 shoppers on weekdays. The number could increase to 150,000 on weekends.

6. CentralPlaza Nakhon Ratchasima

CentralPlaza Nakhon Ratchasima started its operation back in the early 2016. This plaza is designed by using the colors of the four seasons to attract its visitors. The project of this plaza spreads over 83,200 m2 with a total GFA of 300,000 m2. The estimation of this project is around 7 billion Baht. Within the plaza, the tourists can find attractive stores and products. The project of this enormous mall costs 54 billion baht and it has 525,000 m2 GFA. The customers especially the tourists will fancy the sight in this mall as it sells plenty products. The customers can find cosmetic products, fashionable clothes, sportswear, super market and Thai craft products. Additionally, the visitors will love delicacy cuisines and desserts from various restaurants. Central World operated since April 07, 1990, and its previous name was World Trade Center. However, it is completely transformed after the renovation and reopened on June 18, 2001. The location of this towering mall is at 999/9 Rama I Rd, Pathum Wan, Bangkok. After the renovation, its gross floor area expanded to 550,000 m2. In fact, the initiation of Central World project was to compete with Siam Paragon. Central World’s target is the middle-class customers unlike the Siam Paragon which aims the upper-class. CentralPlaza WestGate is located at the Bangyai intersection between Rattanathibet Road and Kanchanapisek Road. This gigantic mall ran its operation on August 28, 2015. As for the project’s total cost, it is approximately over 14 billion baht over 160,000 m2. Its gross floor area 550,278 m2 is Within this plaza complex reside more than 1,000 stores. There are more than 500 international and Thai brands that can be found in the plaza. Furthermore, it also allows the local and international visitors to enjoy the magnificent sights there.
